Re: Write a Real Letter

Awesome idea. However I don't see EA/FM changing their ways if the money continues to roll in. The only way to speak loudly enough these days is to hurt their quarterly report. It possible they are getting hurt because they are listening a wee bit. I was shocked that one person wrote a letter an ni...

Re: Pets at park

Ooh, have I got something special and unique?? :) Yes, you can still get them to dig up money. I think it might be related to a mini-crash I had when my battery was running out. I had 3 sims busy doing something, but the game crashed and when I re-loaded it, and all 3 of them had stopped what they ...

Re: Is it worth it to build a grocery store?

Thank you for the explanation, Delphine! and thank you for your testing and the most excellent visual aid, mockingbird288z! A quick search through all the threads show that this has been an issue for awhile. It is another example of the wonderful ( ) FireMonkeys ignoring a confirmed, repeatab...

Re: Pets at park

Are pets auto following sims to community lots? :o This could threaten all households with more than two pets (thanks to the now-defunct pet glitch). If a reindeer herd follows their sim to the park, I don't think they're going back! When the animals are at the community parks, do the bonus-bubble-t...

Mmmmmmm.... apple pie
Hmmmm. I might sacrifice 40 minutes of my own existence for some top-tier apple pie. Might ;)

Re: Is it worth it to build a grocery store?

Well, I haven't tried it for a while; it's possible that they've changed it recently. There was a thread about it here a few months back as I recall. If people are worried, it's easy enough to test if for yourself. - Do one each way and see what happens! True that! Not as easy as it used to be thou...

Re: Is it worth it to build a grocery store?

Yes. It's most noticeable on stuff that takes a long time to grow/bake. Look at Garlic for example. Planting it normally costs §93 and gives you 1948 XP. From the Supermarket, the cost is reduced to §85, but the XP is only 325. So, each time you're saving §8, but losing a potential 1623 XP! IMO, th...

Re: Is it worth it to build a grocery store?

I used to garden/bake all the time with stuff from the supermarket. I always got the full XP/simoleons as long as I stayed on the lot until my sim began the task, i.e. garden plot/stove stops flashing blue.
