Looks like another event just like the Tropical Romance Island. If you weren't playing during the Tropical Romance Island event you might find it helpful to read a summary of it here. This time we aren't unlocking areas on an island but items for our homes with the final prize being a Spa template we can build on a house lot.
We need gems this time instead of fruit, costs SP to speed up gem collecting.

We have personal progress goals like before. And community progress. Community Progress is EVERYONE playing the game during the event. Not just you, not just your neighbors, but everyone playing the game.

New to this event are daily goals: Also new for this event are different time options when collecting gems. TIP: When you are asked to collect bonus gems they want you to have a sim start collecting gems and then wait for a gem to appear above your sim.

To unlock the Bathrobes: 50 Quartz
To unlock the Spa Rugs: unlock Interior Decorations (gem milestone) and then: 1,215 Quartz, 15 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Serenity Rains: unlock Interior Decorations (gem milestone) and then: 1,500 Quartz, 35 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Hot Springs: unlock Rejuvenating Baths (gem milestone) and then: 7,500 Quartz, 3,150 Garnet, and 50 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Mud Bath: unlock Rejuvenating Baths (gem milestone) and then: 9,700 Quartz, 4,100 Garnet, and 75 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Manicure Station: unlock Mani-Pedi (gem milestone) and then: 5,090 Garnet, 5,200 Moonstone, and 85 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Foot Spa: unlock Mani-Pedi (gem milestone) and then: 9,250 Garnet, 9,500 Moonstone, and 155 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Mud Mask Chair: unlock the Stress Relief (gem milestone) and then: 15,500 Garnet, 15,500 Moonstone, 18,500 Jade, and 255 Constructor Coins
To unlock the Mediation Area: unlock the Stress Relief (gem milestone) and then: 18,500 Garnet, 19,000 Moonstone, 22,000 Jade, and 305 Constructor Coins

That's a lot of work, we have a very huge disadvantage in this event compared with the romance one. I wonder how many time it will take me to finish it.

I hate that I love the prizes so far! We need to collect so many gems this time around, I've already used 59SP and I don't usually use SP/LP the first day of an event.
I've been wanting round rugs forever and I'm a sucker for anything that has water. The Social Point Flower is definitely going to be in my future.

Awww I didn't even care about the rugs until you posted them here! I'm resisting the urge to apend SP as well right now. I love water things too and want to unlock the spa template.
Speaking of which was anyone able to open it to look at it? It kept crashing my game and the last time it restarted all my sims so I don't want to try again.

Looks like the bonus varies (I have seen a range of 1-10 so far) and I think it's based on the "AFK" time, when you don't collect it, so perhaps we don't have to click on it every 2 minutes or so.
