This took me FOREVER. It will eventually come through. I've had the police station completed for some time now and I just got the 3 special sims. I use 1LP on all of the hour tasks though. Maybe try that.

I really think it's a big joke on FM's part. Whenever the specialized sims on the movie set are on duty, the important sims & the statues rarely appear. But if it's the non-specialized sims that are working on-site, I get those hard-to-get statues & important sims!!!

Is there a reason to keep level 10 specialized sims? Once the outfits are available in the wardrobes and the venues are upgraded, they just make for a longer tasks between event couriers and more work to gain resources. What am I missing?

I think you would lose the upgraded work stations which are tied to the specific Level 6-10 specialized sims.

But would that even matter? Aren't they just longer tasks? I'd still see the stations.

It is my understanding that the stations revert to locked/closed like they were before you reached level 6 and selected a specialization. I don't know for sure bc I'm not willing to risk all my hard work!

So, I saved the game and had my level 10 special agent quit her job. Superficially, everything looks the same but the specialization is greyed out although it's still 100% done. I don't think it will matter to me because I don't want to do the long tasks anyway. I'm going to reset and think about it some more...

For each of the profession, I have both specialized sims and 2 level 6 sims. I agree, I probably don't need to keep the specialized ones but I really, really, really don't want to have to redo the badges if something changes and I need the specialists. I have lots of sims so I can do this.
The specialists only go to work off-site and they do earn more than the lower levels. If I need to have anyone work on site for an event, I send the lower sims so I only get the shorter tasks.
