I don’t have any chase tokens and it seems you only get 1 for beating the rival sim 😖 and that’s IF you win.

Well, Day 1 wasn't too horrible. I did buy the boost, which auto-completes one task each day. My completed task was reading the Sim Chase rule book. Also, you can hurry tasks with SP, but don't do it directly from the task. Like, the cappuccino task (with the boost, mine only required 4 sims) would require spending, I think, 22 SP per sim, but if you hurry it through the Sim Chase window, you pay, IIRC, 7 SP, and it completes for all sims. Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought.

The SP cost for skipping an episode seem to differ. It cost me 27 SP to skip the entire day's worth of tasks.

They definitely differ because mine says I’d have to pay 41 SP to skip the entire day. 😐

Based on your encounter...it doesn’t seem to be so bad for you. But, I wonder how it may differ for everyone. 🤔

It went down as I completed tasks. Had you guys already completed any tasks, by any chance?

Yeah, I've checked a couple of my games that are all at different points and currency levels and I'm getting 52 on them all. Not seeing talk anywhere else about there being a difference, either.

I did figure out that each task takes a set amount of SP off of the total and that set amount is equal to how much it costs to skip that tasks. All of these amounts are without the SimChase Bonus:
Completing the bookshelf task takes 20SP off of the total to skip the entire episode (and it takes 20SP to skip the bookshelf task)
Completing the cappuccino task takes 10SP off of the total to skip the enitre episode (and it takes 10SP to skip the cappuccino task)
Completing the breakfast task takes 2SP off of the total to skip the entire episode (and it takes 2SP to skip the breakfast task)
Completing the sewing task takes 10SP off of the total to skip the entire episode (and it takes 10SP to skip the sewing task)
Completing the quiz task takes 5SP off of the total to skip the entire episode (and it takes 5SP to skip the quiz task)
Completing the decrypt task takes 5SP off of the total to skip the entire episode (and it takes 5SP to skip the decrypt task)

So whether you straight up pay the SP to skip the entire episode or start the tasks and then skip each task individually it costs the same SP either way. The order you do the tasks doesn't seem to affect how much they cost to skip/how much they take off the total to skip.

Not sure why the bookshelf one gets the most - I would have thought the mastery sewing one would considering how much it costs. If you're hard up for cash it's probably best to do all the other tasks and then use the skip episode button to finish the mastering sewing task.

___________

For timing purposes it's best to get the bookshelf task done first, then do the cappuccino one, then do the sewing one (if you have the currency for it, if not - leave this one for last), then do the quiz and decrypt ones, and then do the breakfast one. That way if you run out of time you're only needing to pay 2SP or 7SP to skip the task and not 20SP.
