Can't demolish house.

I can't demolish a 2 storey mansion I built as it keep saying I can't demolish a house while sims or pets are there.
The thing is, I've never had a sim or pet ever live there, there is nobody there!!
I need to demolish to make way for the teen mansion

Have you already deleted the whole house room by room and removed everything on the plot?

Very strange! Perhaps you can try force closing the game and restarting your device? Not sure if resetting your game would help. This game sure is buggy

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on. I've force restarted it a few times and nothing. Just demolished another house with no problems.
Perhaps I will try moving a sim in and back out again. Not sure if it will work though :/

Keep us updated; I have a house I built just to demolish it (two story mansion), and no one has ever lived there. Anything you learn will be helpful. I wonder if you need to move the car first?

There is no car with the 2 storey mansion.
I only built the house to demolish it, I wanted the planter boxes that I haven't unlocked yet.
Just waiting for my sims to finish their overnight tasks before I try moving a sim in and out.

Try leaving one empty room and then demolish it. I think this happened to me before. I had deleted everything room by room but then it wouldn't let me demolish it to start over. I rebuilt one tiny room and then it gave the option to demolish. I guess logically speaking, there wasn't anything left to demolish. Hope it helps. Let us know if it does & Good luck.

Nothing worked!!
Tried moving a sim in and out, still keeps telling me I can't demolish a houses while there are pets or sims there.
Tried PaQuilters idea of building a small room. Still nothing. Guess I will have to demolish another house and leave this one
but its right next the the sign and I wanted my teen mansion there!!!
