I finished it! And… it wasn’t worth the work. I really, really hope this doesn’t represent a complete change of gameplay, which their current survey seems to hint at. If any more events like this come up, I’m definitely skipping them.

Woop! Well done Simmare. I’m halfway through level 42 and honestly can’t wait for this to be done. It’s become beyond tedious and honestly the only good thing to be gained is the lot at the end of it. I’ve spent an eye watering amount of SP to get ahead.

I’m with you on skipping future events like this. Then again we say that but always get sucked in to giving whatever they throw at us a go

I’m feeling about this one the way I do about pregnancy events, too much work for too little gain. But hey, I do think it’s good they tried something different even if it’s not for everyone.

I just did 1 hour again and I’m highly disappointed. Like…what’s the point of this? You can’t control the staff. You can’t interact with the staff. You can’t reduce staff. Your staff will not quit since they will not get stressed since there are no more tours and I’d really like to actually “manage” my staff based on needs. Since staffing needs are drastically reduced since tours cease to exist…I have no use for all the staff.

Like, I just don’t understand 😧 the concept.

Any insight is most helpful. 😭

I have restored the second post to show screenshots of unlocked items in Home Store.

Now I‘m past level 35 and still don’t think I like this event :?

These actions are really cute! They started with the Party of the Decade Update if not earlier.

I’m not surprised the Sim was dusting. Most of my cafe staff seem to spend most of their time mopping or sweeping, usually outside on the street.

I just completed level 25. Until now, my barista (Mavis) seemed to be the default worker to take orders and payment. The only time anyone else did those duties was when Mavis was on a break. Today my toast specialist (Michelle) has taken over those tasks. Mavis is still my highest ranking employee so I’m wondering if it is connected to the addition of the cash register?? 🤔

I think your lowest ranking employee takes payments. In later levels when my A-team was all off at training, I had to use the B-team who were all ranked lower. The lowest-ranked always took payments.

Until today, it was my highest ranked/first hired…the worker doing it now is the second hired but in the middle of the group as far as rank…🤷🏻‍♀️…doesn’t really matter I guess but it was weird to see it change. Much less stressful for Mavis lol!
Edit: I only have one of each specialty.

Huh. So I guess we’re saying that there’s really no rhyme or reason regarding which staff takes payments. Which is about what I’d expect.
