Note:
The required NPCs usually show up in the Sim tracker.
The mentioned times are based on 3-star items, used by a fully inspired normal Sim.
Numbers of sims and items to be found depend on the game-level you’re on and if you have purchased the boost.

The tasks can be done by teens, adults and probably by seniors. Preteens can not help in this quest.
Tasks that require more than 1 Sim can be skipped with LPs. The amount reduces with every Sim that is done.
Waiting times can be skipped with SP. The lower the waiting time, the lower the amount.

Part 1 Total time 14 hours 24 minutes

1. Wave at Santa - 1 minute 54 seconds
   (At the X near the postbox on a home lot.)
2. Place a Xmas Fireplace - There’s a free Fireplace at the "Featured" Tab of the Home Store.)
3. Warm hands at Fireplace - 24 minutes
4. Place 10 Christmas Decorations -
   Find them in the "Featured" Tab of the Home Store. It's okay to take them from inventory.
5. Build a Snowman - 2 hours 23 minutes
   (At the X near the postbox on a home lot.)
6. Sing Christmas Carols 8x - 11 hours 35 minutes
   (At the X near the postbox on a home lot.)
7. Wait for day 2
   If you finish before 24 hours you will have to wait for the next day or pay SP to skip the wait. If you started the quest late you won't have to wait.

Task to have 8 sims sing does not work at teen mansion. They don't all fit by mailbox. My Sim looks quite irritated about it. Here's hoping having one on another lot will work. It should as instructions don't specify all at one lot; in fact it says sims houses.

Tip for new players: when quest says place xx objects (like 10 Christmas decor)

▪︎ you don't need to buy, you can place free one from home store and it will count
▪︎ you can inventory one already in your house and replace it and it will count
▪︎ you can just inventory and place the same one over and over and it will count
▪︎ as soon as the task completes, you can inventory the item if you want, so just shove it anywhere it fits as you don't need to keep it there

(It saves me a lot of time to just place and inventory repeatedly on one lot, rather than moving from lot to lot to fit things in where I think I'll want to keep them permanently.)

I think it's the same at all the lots because only six could do it at one of the Sims Springs lots too.

When I called 10 sims to Santa's cabin, those who landed in the house wouldn't go out and shovel. I had to send them home and call them back one by one and assign them a snow pile before calling the next one.

For whatever reason I called two Sims at a time and could start right away.

I wanted to leave a couple there over night, thinking they could read in the cozy living room. But no, the snow mounds are still there, so they still can’t get in I skipped the waiting time so I could see if they’ll be gone for the next day. Fortunately they will!
As I’m not in hurry I downloaded my fresh backup
